Hello World!

Today we’re officially launching Cartio Robotics AB.

Autonomous vehicles are showing up in cool demos all over social media. But despite their impressive-sounding features and the great promises, you rarely see them in everyday life. Why is that?

We believe one big reason is the lack of scalable localization and navigation solutions. It’s one thing for a vehicle to localize on small, well-studied research datasets, but operating in the real world with limited or no GNSS support is much more difficult.

Cartio Robotics is going to change that.

We’re building scalable, robust spatial intelligence for autonomous vehicle fleets, including:

• One shared map for the entire fleet. A single source of truth, not one map per vehicle.
• SLAM maps that update themselves as new information becomes available.
• Updates that are distributed automatically, so every vehicle always has the latest map.
• AI-based information layers, so every change gets noticed and is easy for humans to interpret.
